Dave van Vliet
Hello, I am Dave van Vliet, a senior consultant within the road construction team of the Building Materials & Structures department. Within this team, the performance of road construction materials and the development of lifespan models and assessment techniques for asphalt mixtures are central. You can come to me with any questions related to road construction and questions concerning the evaluation and/or development of road construction materials.
As a senior consultant, I work within the road construction team in the Building Materials & Structures department of the Mobility & Built Environment Unit. Within this team, we conduct research on the lifespan of (open) asphalt surfaces, among other things. Additionally, I work on the sustainability of asphalt mixtures, particularly the development of biobased binders as an alternative to bitumen. You can also come to me with questions regarding the investigation of bituminous joints and/or plastic wearing courses.
