Hella Koops
Hella focusses on sustainable innovations and developing circular value chains in the plastics domain and chemical industry. With a strong background in engineering, technology scale-up and systems thinking, she is involved a.o. in the development of new plastics recycling technologies and scenario projections of the circular plastics- and materials transition.
Hella is director of the GIC R&D Hub for Plastic Waste Processing, an international joint-research initiative founded by the World Economic Forum and Global Impact Coalition. In the GIC R&D Hub, TNO leads and executes a large pre-competitive research programme on circular plastics innovations for the 7 international companies that are Member of the Hub: BASF, Covestro, Dow, LyondellBasell, Mitsubishi, Sabic and Syensqo.
Hella is also Advisory Board member of external circular initiatives.
