Lisa Tang

Functie:
Consultant

I work as a consultant/innovator at the research group of Naval & Offshore Structures. I am mostly involved in projects for the maritime and offshore domain, focusing on the safe usage of alternative fuels (e.g., methanol and hydrogen) for shipping.

Before my role as a consultant, I worked as a scientist integrator for the Defence, Safety and Security unit. My main research interest was simulating the dynamic response of military armoured vehicles and their occupants subjected to a mine blast. I was mainly involved from the modelling side but also gained knowledge and experience from the experimental side. In my work related to the defence domain, I developed a broad range of knowledge, ranging from material (steel and composite) failure to injury prediction.

My core activities in my current role as a consultant are mostly related to structural safety, but other aspects related to the usage of alternative fuels are also of importance. With my broad range of knowledge gained from the defence domain and my connections with other TNO units, research groups, and universities, I combine the multidisciplinary knowledge to answer the main research questions from the customers.
