Paul Mentink

Functie:
Senior Research Scientist Powertrains

At TNO, I focus on the sustainability of road transport and off-highway applications, such as excavators, wheel loaders, and tractors, with an emphasis on smart Modular Energy Management (MEM) for the entire vehicle. This creates synergy in Energy Management Strategies between different vehicle applications and powertrain configurations, while the algorithm can efficiently run on vehicle control units. This results in savings in both development time/effort and vehicle energy consumption.

On behalf of TNO, I am a member of the Technical Road Transport Association (TRTA) to help bridge the gap between R&D and industry. Additionally, I also contribute to the research regarding Optimal Charge Planning to accelerate the adoption of battery electric transport.
