Rajesh Mehta
Rajesh is a technology and management professional with 18 years of diversified experience in the global petrochemical industry. He has expertise in corporate sustainability, developing technology roadmaps, strategy and business models. As a senior consultant at TNO, he focuses on consortium building, opportunity & program management, and innovation consulting.
Rajesh is passionate about bridging the gaps between technology and business and operates at the complex interface of technology, business and sustainability. Rajesh advises industry and policymakers on energy and materials transition, green hydrogen, Power-to-X, and circular economy strategies. As a senior strategy, business, and program management professional, Rajesh has worked extensively with corporate, technology, and manufacturing business units. Rajesh works closely with technology teams, industry associations, consortium partners, start-ups, and investors to evaluate the commercial and sustainability potential of technologies under the development cycle.
Rajesh is highly regarded for his ideas on sustainability in the chemicals and plastics industry. This is reflected in his existing and past representation as a sustainability expert at different international forums such as PlasticsEurope, the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA), and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Rajesh has a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay and an MBA from IIM Bangalore. Rajesh has co-authored 20 publications and technical reports and delivered 23 conference presentations. His other research interests are M&As in the global petrochemical industry.
