Roberto Traversari

Functie:
Senior advisor/researcher

I am a researcher/consultant in the field of contamination control, energy, and installation technology, specialising in air handling systems in operating rooms. My focus is on Dutch healthcare. I connect governments and businesses with our teams in healthcare energy and indoor air quality, seeking new opportunities to develop and implement innovations in these areas.

I am involved in the sustainability of healthcare real estate and engaged in the GreenDeal Sustainable Healthcare. Additionally, I am shaping the expertise center for healthcare sustainability (EVZ). In this capacity, I initiate research to remove barriers to sustainability and accelerate the sustainability of healthcare real estate. From a contamination control and ventilation perspective, I am the scientific leader of the Pandemic Preparedness Programme through Ventilation (P3Venti), in which we collaborate with many knowledge organisations.

This programme is financed by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS) and coordinated by TNO. I am also one of the rapporteurs for NTA8800, which determines the energy performance of existing buildings and new construction. I have extensive contacts within the healthcare sector, ministries, and supplying industry.

Side functions: I am the chairman of the Advisory Board of the ISSO Foundation, the knowledge center for the installation sector, and chairman of working group 18 of CEN TC 156 Ventilation in Hospitals. Within this working group, we are working on guidelines/standards for ventilating critical functions in hospitals such as operating rooms and isolation rooms.
