Vasanthi Iyer is physician M+G and since 2011 institute trainer with the Education & Profession team within the Child Health expertise group. In addition to training and coaching the new batch of junior doctors KNMG, Vasanthi deals with issues such as academization of the training and the quality cycle in accordance with the rules of the RGS (Registration Committee for Medical Specialists). She is also concerned with making connections between research, education, policy and practice in the field of youth within and outside TNO. Main themes are: youth, training, quality, lifestyle and prevention strategies.

More and more children with eye problems, hospital waiting lists grow: too much screen time. Rietkerk, E. More and more young children are developing eye problems. As a result, it also takes longer and longer for them to get to the hospital. Youth physician Vasanthi Iyer and orthoptists are sounding the alarm.
