Solution Architect - The Hague/Hybride

Do you want to contribute to improving the Netherlands as a Solution Architect? This is possible at TNO. We are looking for a Solution Architect who is responsible for the development of our applications and IT systems. Thanks to your efforts, our researchers have the right tooling and the necessary data they need to make the Netherlands a little safer, healthier, more sustainable and digital every day.

As a Solution Architect you will work in team Application Management. This team consists of 18 employees, divided over the locations The Hague and Utrecht. In this team you work with 3 other Solution Architects. With them you are responsible for the (further) development of our applications and IT systems. Think of PowerPlatform, ALM (including Gitlab, Teamforce and Jira) and Sequel. Together with the team it is up to you to devise and describe solutions to a wide variety of questions that come from the organization.

You have a lot of contact with the Business Relation Managers (BRM). At TNO they are the first point of contact for the business. So most business questions about new functionalities come from the BRMs. In some cases the business contact you directly. You validate requirements. You convert them into a technical design and you implement and test this as well. You are also responsible for deployment of the design via CI/CD via OTAP street. You have to deal with completely new functionalities, but also with updates or changes in existing applications. In addition to this, in your specialty you are also the technical point of contact for the administrators of team application management.

In addition to the Solution Architects from team Application Management, there are also several Solution Architects working in Team Infra (including network management, security, IAM and endpoint services). You also work with them a lot in projects.

We are looking for a Solution Architect who recognizes himself in the following profile:

• Minimum HBO working and thinking level;
• Experience in preparing technical designs. This can be from a role as Architect, Consultant or Senior Administrator;
• In-depth knowledge of at least 1 of the following techniques;
• ALM (including Gitlab, Teamforce, Jira);
• Data Management;
• MS Power Platform;
• MS Fabric;
• Azure;
• Git Repository;
• Dynamics365;
• Knowledge of PowerShell;
• Knowledge of CI/CD.

You are also interested in mastering techniques and products you are not yet familiar with. At TNO you get all the space you need for this.
