About this position
Would you like to contribute to the R&D needed to make large-scale PV applications viable by reducing costs, increasing yields, and developing innovative applications, while at the same time maintaining societal support and integral sustainability? As an electrical engineer/scientist at Solar Energy, your electronic and electrical engineering knowledge will form an indispensable part of our research projects.
What will be your role?
As a mid-level electrical engineer/scientist at Solar Energy, you’ll be a member of a team of content-driven researchers and work in a project-oriented organisation and in the outside world. You’ll devise technical tours de force to answer research questions, design and build matching measurement set-ups, and collaborate on the development of new projects.

To begin with, as an Electrical Engineering Scientist, you have at least:
- a master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or similar field of studies;
- several years of experience in a research environment or similar position;
- knowledge of digital and analogue hardware and embedded software.
Preferably, we’re looking for someone who:
- wants to delve further into the world of renewable energy generation;
- is experienced in issues such as grid integration of solar power and matching supply and demand;
- enjoys alternating between computer and practical work;
- knows what MOSFETs, transistors, resistors, capacitors, and coils do in circuits and knows the difference between current, voltage, capacity, and energy;
- is experienced in designing and building measurement systems with sensors and measurement data storage;
- can independently develop ideas for new products, services, and research topics and work with the team to turn them into project proposals;
- can contribute to the entire process, from concept to implementation;
- is experienced in writing research proposals;
- has an upbeat attitude and enjoys working together for a better world!

The selection process
Please apply before the 30th of November, 2024. The selection process comprises two interview rounds. In a final meeting we will discuss the terms of employment and your tailored benefits package. We aim to finalize the entire process within four weeks.
