About this position

As Deputy Research Manager at TNO, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving innovation in the high-tech industry by tackling the growing complexity of advanced systems. You’ll be working for ESI (Embedded System Innovations), an innovation research centre within TNO, with strong partnerships with industry-leading high-tech companies. By fostering collaboration between various teams and companies, you’ll contribute to cutting-edge research that enhances the efficiency, functionality and societal impact of high-tech products.

What will be your role?

In collaboration with the Research Manager and Business Developer, you will engage with external stakeholders, such as ESI partners and European project collaborators, while contributing to the department's strategic development and project portfolio. Additionally, you will ensure smooth operations by stepping in for the Research Manager when necessary, with opportunities to expand your responsibilities over time.

You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team at TNO-ESI, based in the Eindhoven High Tech Campus. The team thrives on innovation and works closely with industry-leading companies to address the challenges of complex system design. As part of the team management, you will work alongside motivated professionals in a dynamic and inclusive environment, driving meaningful change in the high-tech sector. The research manager and his deputy together with the Business Developer form the management team of this research group.
