- Design and build next generation AI based point cloud compression methods.
- Work on MPEG standards such as Video based Point Cloud Compression (V-PCC) and AI based Point Cloud Compression (AI-PCC)
- Work on solutions that push the boundaries of asynchronous programming, media encoding, content delivery architectures, and 3D video representation formats (like Gaussian Splattings or NeRF).
What does your day look like?
At TNO no day is the same. You will work both independently and in a team, with enough space to develop your own research and development interest, as well as responsibility to drive your activities into results. You might start your day by discussing with your team the next steps in XR developments of your unity project. Code and implement new technical concepts while testing in on a AR-glass type display. In the afternoon have a call with a team of international experts from around the world to discuss your latest results. By day’s end, you’ll have collaborated across teams, contributing to groundbreaking innovations in the media landscape and got new inspirations and follow up ideas.
