Internship | EERA JP EEIP

About this position

We are looking for a trainee to help the EERA Joint Programme Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes (EEIP). EERA, the European Energy Research Alliance is the largest energy research community in Europe. It is a membership-based, non-profit association and brings together 250 universities and public research centers in 30 countries. To organise work within the association and realise its strategy, EERA operates 18 joint research programmes. EERA's joint research programmes cover the whole range of low-carbon technologies as well as systemic and cross-cutting topics. Within EERA, TNO is the coordinator of the Joint Programme EEIP. The goal for 2025 is to update the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) of the JP EEIP. Communication and dissemination of the JP is now done via our own website (Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes - Home (eera-eeip.eu)) and EERA newsletters. To help us with the SRIA and the communication of the JP we are looking for a trainee.

What will be your role?

In collaboration with the coordinator and with input from the JP members, you will take the lead in preparing the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda of the EERA Joint programme Energy Efficiency in Industrial Processes, including a plan to strengthen the JP. The SRIA should represent the consensus of EERA JP members of a global view to address the challenges of Energy & Environment policies from a research and innovation perspective, with the overall objective to accelerate the SET-Plan priorities and actions in order to contribute to decarbonise the industry. Next to this you will be working on a communication plan together with the EERA secretariat and the release of the JP EEIP newsletters. Furthermore you will help organising events such as joint workshops with other JP’s.

What we expect from you

  • You have a broad range of interests and a knowledge base.
  • You have strong communication skills. This enables you to connect with the coordinator and the members of the JP.
  • Good knowledge of the English language.
  • This job is a good fit with an education in the field of communication.
