Zero emission urban mobility

Zero emission urban mobility

How can we achieve low-carbon mobility systems in our cities? And what does that mean for urban design? TNO supports municipalities in making decisions on emission-free zones and planning charging infrastructure.

Challenges zero emission cities

There might be good intentions, but a future in which emission-free vehicles dominate the streets still seems a long way off. Grid congestion, charging issues, accessibility issues around zero-emission zones… not to mention the consequences for vulnerable residents who depend on motor vehicles and cannot afford an electric car. Many parties, including transport operators, municipalities, and electricity companies, are looking for solutions to keep cities and regions accessible, but also make them cleaner.

Why TNO?

TNO supports municipalities in making decisions on emission-free zones and planning charging infrastructure. We also work with logistics partners and innovative solution providers. That is how we can make clean air, zero-emission mobility, and a thriving economy go hand in hand, ensuring that our cities remain liveable.
