Formal launch of the LignoValue Pilot Plant & a brief update by Biorizon

Including an update on the upscaling of the technological development of bio-aromatics by Biorizon co-initiator TNO.

About the LignoValue Pilot Plant

The LignoValue Pilot Plant was established in cooperation between VITO, PMV and Worley Belgium for the depolymerization of lignin into innovative biobased aromatics in Flanders.

This € 4.3 million LignoValue Pilot Plant is able to produce larger amounts of bio-aromatic fractions to allow companies to take further steps in their application development path. Dozens of companies have already expressed an interest in innovative molecules and a willingness to carry out application testing.
