All of Defence's firepower-related needs must be constantly developed, tested and improved. Moreover, to face diverse threats in different domains, new integrated combat capabilities are essential. Together with industry, TNO therefore strives for the seamless integration of new concepts into current and future platforms. We are working on balancing speed, precision and energy efficiency to increase gestation, as well as reducing the vulnerability of weapon systems to increase their effectiveness. We also embrace emerging technologies, such as Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) and non-lethal weapons, as complementary means to increase and diversify strike power.

TNO has advanced knowledge, technology, facilities and a global network. Like no other, we can connect defence with the world's most advanced firepower concepts. Together, we ensure that our armed forces can respond effectively to the diverse threats of the modern battlefield.
