Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC)
- Category:
- Thermal
- Brand:
- PerkinElmer
- Type:
- DSC 6000
Description
The Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) is used to measure the amount of energy released or absorbed during heating or cooling of a sample. In this way, thermal properties of materials and substances can be determined.
Technical details
Min temp - 80 °C, Max temp 455 °C. Scanning speed from 0.1 °C to 100 °C per minute
Applications
Observing energy released or absorbed during phase transitions, decomposition or chemical reactions of materials and substances. We use this technique to investigate the properties of bitumen.
