TGA/DSC 3+
- Category:
- Laboratory
- Brand:
- Mettler Toledo
- Type:
- TGA/DSC 3+
Description
With a combined Thermographic Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) the mass effect on a sample is determined that is subjected to a temperature program. Example: mass loss by decomposition or loss of volatile components. At the same time, heat effects can be registered with a simple DSC sensor.
Technical details
Temperature range 25-1600 °C, maximum heating speed 100 °C/min, sample robot with a tray for 34 sample holders
Additional techniques
Can be linked to FTIR and MS or to RH control
Applications
Thermogravimetry produces quantitative information about the composition and thermal stability of a wide range of materials. The method is fast and can be used with very small sample sizes (1 mg).
